General News and Information

Text Box: Important Notice to all Members Membership renewals are individual members responsibility. The club does its best to send each member their yearly membership renewal in a timely manner, however sometimes members will get their renewals late. If this occurs the club is prepared to extend the renewal period by no more than 20 days. Otherwise each member must renew their club membership within 14 days from their expiry date. This is a Licensing Services requirement. If the membership is NOT renewed within 14 days of expiry, the club is then compelled to report that member to Licensing Services. If a member has a valid reason which is accepted by Licensing Services than the club will renew the membership otherwise your handgun licence will be CANCELLED.

Range update.

The sound test and report are finally done and have been passed on to our town planner. The next step is for our town planner to have a meeting with the local council. Based on the results of this meeting we should be in a position to lodge our planning application.

Important Notice

Because of safety concerns with the usage of the 3^rd range at Oakleigh, the committee has decided that this range will be closed to all members unless a range officer is present to supervise! This is NON negotiable!!!

Attendances.

If you have not gained all your required attendances at the club comps, you will need to get your personal attendance sheets into the club by 31^st January 2012. Late forms will not be accepted.

2012 Competition Dates.

Please list the following dates on your calendar, these dates are also on the web page.

January 15^th, February 12^th, March 11^th, April 15^th, May 13^th, June 10^th, July 8^th, August 12^th, September 9^th, October 14^th, November 18^th, December 9^th.

Holster Qualification Courses.

The dates for the holster qualification course in 2012 are March 11^th, July 8^th and October 14^th.

The course will start at 10am and you will need a holster and magazine holders to suit the gun you will be using.

The cost is $40 plus ammunition, this will include your match entry, which you should have time to shoot after the course. Email me to book your place.

Safety Courses.

The dates for Safety courses in 2012 are: February 12^th, June 10^th and September 9^th

The cost of a course is $60 and includes the ammo you will need to complete the course. It will start at 10am so don’t be late. If you need to do a safety course to get your handgun licence you must contact me to book a place and supply a non refundable deposit of $30.
